We love being wedding photographers in Las Vegas, but we also do family portraits and we’d been trying to organize a shoot with Juliet and her fearless sister Jennifer and their families for some time. With Juliet being the owner and head honcho of Green Orchid Events wedding and event planning here in Las Vegas, we knew that not just any location would do. With some finagling and coercion we were offered the rare opportunity to photograph inside the newly opened Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq in Las Vegas and the decor didn’t disappoint. I’d had my eye on this room for some time and knew we’d someone cool in there eventually. Special thanks goes to Erin Ward and Her assistant Jerica for being generally awesome people.

We’ve known Paige for some time and were sad when she moved to D.C., but we were enthralled when she told us that not only was she getting married to Mr. Perfect, but that we’d be photographing her wedding here in Las Vegas and at the stately and gorgeous JW Marriott. They met here in Vegas at the now defunct Hawaiian Tropic, where Matt was a host but don’t let that fool you, the man is an IT wizard. After moving to DC to pursue professional careers, it was certainly wonderful to have them back here in the sun and fun. They love DC (who wouldn’t?), but Vegas will always have a special place in their hearts.

Fantastic up-lighting and stylish marquee letters by the daring Kevin Cordova of LED unplugged, Makeup and hair by the fearless Amelia C and Co, Floral wizardry by none other than Flora Couture and rockin’ beats by Amanda Wallace and T Music Entertainment. Special thanks to the team at JW Marriott for always being awesome!

We spent a sunny evening with Liz and Greg, and they totally rocked it! The always gorgeous Liz works in sales for one of Las Vegas’ top destination management companies or DMCs for those who work with them (Not Run-DMC) and Greg is in marketing for Monster Energy, how fun is that? Having been to the newly opened Container Park, I had been chomping at the bit to do some photos there and we more than had fun. Afterwards we did a little tour of Fremont and then we were fortunate enough to get a little fire monster action at the end. Stay tuned for their upcoming wedding with Scheme Events, you know this one will rock! Can you imagine a more fun couple? Hair and makeup by the ever-talented Your Beauty Call.

When I was told that zombies were invading Las Vegas, my first thought was to feed them my 5 month old baby boy. I know it sounds horrible, but when Amelia Cooper, the intrepid owner and helms-woman of Amelia C and Co. came to us and asked if we’d be down for shooting some zombies, I jumped at the chance with the only caveat being I had to have one with our little guy being eaten. I have plans to show it as his wedding some day. We have to have priorities after all.

We’ve worked with Amelia for so long, I’ve lost track of how many weddings and engagement sessions we’ve worked on together. She did Alicia’s hair and makeup for our own engagement photos, our shoot with Altf for Inside Edition as well as being a major player on our wedding day. Here are a few of the previous ones we’ve done, and you just might find a reference to the sugar skulls that we’ll be showing in our next post. We shot these at the spacious and lofty Altf Studios, and a special thanks to John and Dalisa Cooper for accommodating us as well as tolerating walkers and biters wandering around their dwelling. If you need zombie makeup in Las Vegas or So Cal, you know who to call.

Sit down, grab your anti-zombie viral infection kit and fortify your barricades, the zombies are coming and they’re badass.

Poor Wyatt. This was the most scared he looked, the rest of the time he was just cooing and laughing.
