Here’ a fun and short slideshow of some of our faves from our recent session with Dawn, Dr. Boomer and little Aiden. We had the privilege of photographing their engagement, wedding and 6 month photos earlier this year.
We met up with the sanguine Kate and the perpetually animated Cainnan for a fun mother and son shoot in the swank Platinum Hotel. Kate is the owner and operator of Pretty. Sick. Beauty. in Henderson and we just knew she was going to show up looking like a million bucks, but the show stealer was the dashing young Cainnan who was sporting a dapper tuxedo from the wonderful girls at the much lauded Tuxedo Junction here in Las Vegas. They are without a doubt our go-to place for formal wear and can’t say enough about how great they are. Special thanks to Hava Busso at the Platinum for helping to arrange everything.
We love being wedding photographers in Las Vegas, but we also do family portraits and we’d been trying to organize a shoot with Juliet and her fearless sister Jennifer and their families for some time. With Juliet being the owner and head honcho of Green Orchid Events wedding and event planning here in Las Vegas, we knew that not just any location would do. With some finagling and coercion we were offered the rare opportunity to photograph inside the newly opened Brooklyn Bowl at The Linq in Las Vegas and the decor didn’t disappoint. I’d had my eye on this room for some time and knew we’d someone cool in there eventually. Special thanks goes to Erin Ward and Her assistant Jerica for being generally awesome people.
The highly cooperative cousins.
More group cooperation.
Finally! No, wait…
We’ve been doing the Haskell’s photos for a few years now, and rarely do we have so much fun. This time was no exception, and Brian had picked out some cool spots, not your usual family photo locations, and you know that’s how we roll.
If you missed it, make sure to check out some past fun we had when we stuffed Kari and Brian into the cupcake case and also when they had an all out social media and smart phone battle in our studio last year.
Up before the sun came up ( this is midnight to us you realize), we were off to the end of the road (literally) and then up to the fire ravaged areas of Mt. Charleston for an ethereal look. I knew the fire came down Kyle Canyon but didn’t know just how far it had burned. We were also treated to a killer sunrise on the way there, and if you live in the valley or have ever seen a desert sunrise, you know what I mean.
Want more Retro Bakery action? Here’s all you can handle and more. Follow Kari on Twitter and Instagram, and make sure to like their Facebook page. If that’s not enough buttercream, you should seek help, or post yourself at their counter to pick up some of the new tastiness they keep whipping up.
Punk rock Abbi, Cupcake tossing Lucy, Kari going visions of Ziggy Stardust on us with an awesome silver biker jacket and Brian promising waffles, what more can you ask for?
